Hi guys!
To cut a short story even shorter;
As a cubicle-dwelling developer, I'm daydreaming of developing games, and I get all sorts of ideas. But I’ve realized I never finish any projects, because I get tired of the idea long before I get remotely close to done.
I realized, I need to make a game as simple as possible. Maybe just one function? Like in old-school games, where you connected your body directly to the game world by bashing buttons to make your pixelated Summer Games athlete sprint to gold. How can you test your stamina with a touch screen?
I also wanted the game to be idiotic in its simplicity.
So I made my box-holding game. The object is to test your patience by holding a box. Simple as that.
My lack of patience ended up turning into a test-of-patience game.
Your score can be shared to a Google Play leaderboard (optional), and a selfie is captured the moment you screw up (also optional).
Oh, I do realize things like this have probably been done a billion times before.. And my kids kindly reminded me that some kind of youtuber named "Mr Beast" or something already did a 'finger on the app' challenge a while ago.
But hell, for the sake of it, I finished my game anyway
So here it is, go ahead and set the world record, people. Feel free to test, and be more patient than me:
