As you can see, it prompts me to enter play mode, but I can't click anywhere in the Unity Editor so I can't enter play mode. If I close the tutorial it will exit the basic scene as well. How do I solve this?

Try removing Multiplayer Play Mode. I think the play mode scenerio button is breaking the tutorial. Updating MPPM to 1.5.0 might fix it as well

And what do you mean by removing Multiplayer Play Mode, are you saying that this feature is unusable?
