Hi all! I’m working on a Unity-based narrative horror game called Kukata: Word of Ghosts, and I’ll be sharing progress here as I go. It’s being built in Unity (2D URP) and blends typing mechanics, ghost AI, and Malaysian folklore into a spooky, story-rich experience.

Dialogue system + input-driven encounters

Lorebook + progress tracking (ScriptableObjects)

I’ll keep this thread updated as I continue — next up is building out the first haunted school level and implementing ghost "struggle" sequences using typing triggers.

🎥 Devlog #1 – Ghost Animation Sneak Peek
Here’s some progress on ghost animations — implemented in Unity using sprite sheets and looped through Animator state machines.

🎒 Main Character – The player avatar, caught in the middle
🪢 Hantu Tali – A rope-bound spirit with a twisted past
🩻 Pocong – Classic Malaysian ghost wrapped in burial cloth
