I will complie this here for my own use to track the progress of my development. On 6/26/25 I itemized myproject and moved to a clean project file.
On 7/6/25 I succesfully completed initiation of the new project file. all ports were made cleanly and I now have a custom prototype game machine using the following prefabs: SpawnManager, NpcSpawnManager, DialogueManager, GameTimeManager, WorldItem_LogicShell-WorldItemPrefab, EventSystem.

Wow first of all, the project looks amazing. It looks like a big project from long run right ? Didi you do it alone ? And can I ask you what the goal of the game ? I also noticed that when you talk to the characters they're glitchy like their animation doesn't play properly. It's a miner (๐Ÿ˜‰ ) fix but it's in the details that we see the difference. When you went from insidedoor to outdoor the game was very laggy. I suppose it's because you charge the world. I think you should first make a loading screen or at least a fade in fade out so the player doesn't see that lag and also (if you don't use it already) use a chunk based charging map. I mean like in minecraft, the game is charge only around the player. But other than that the project looks amazing and I love the artstyle it's like oldish games. Keep it going !

Wow thanks for your feedback and helpful advice. Don't worry, none of my systems have any polish applied and have only been implemented. I work entirely alone and this is my 6th week on the project.

The game is desined as a sand box simulation, designed to be endless apart from quests because of economy, property, trading, owning ships/caravans, factions, and morality.

Thanks for noticing I'm desining this as a system first "Ode to the Classics"

@obsidian zephyr Absolutely, I'm at the point now in learning unity, where I can just build this game how I I want it to be for the rest of my life, so for my first title, and establishing my style I'm shooting for June-August 2026. I told my friends I'd have a play test by the end of 8/30/2025, that seems to track.
