So, no one has any input on this? Why the hell am I getting this message with a brand new account and install?

I'd try and login to the Unity website with your account and see if any extra info is there

revoke it/ refresh it

I am logged in, do I have to log out and back in to see a change in the dashboard?

If the website is fine, organization is fine, etc. Then it you could try logging out and in on the hub. But I'd start by checking the website in case there is an issue.

#

I can't give a lot of good advice as the log files i know etc are all on Windows. But their licenses are a bit stitched together right now. As a possible easy fix I'd log out of everything. Check the web login. Then check the hub. But that's just me, I haven't seen this specific one.

hub -> settings -> licenses -> refresh / return license

#

if I hit refresh in the hub, this doesn't change

#

but I got the message pop up again a few minutes ago in the editor

#

going to try logging out and back in on the hub

#

well that closed unity

#

well shit

#

who do I contact about this

scenic skiff
#

It'll always need to close Unity Editor to update a license

celest phoenix
#

able to sign in to the website

#

from the unity hub now, if I click on the project I started working on yesterday after hitting OK on the popup.
I get this

#

and if I click manage licenses

#

Someone said they needed to reboot. But no idea if that'll help

celest phoenix
#

this is ridiculous

rebooted. opened unity hub

got this message. clicked agree.
clicked on my project, and got the "your unity personal license...blah" with only quit as an option.

I'm now rather upset since I cannot access the project I worked on all night

scenic skiff
#

Well, I don't work for unity, nor do I get anything for helping people with it. So it may be good to contact them

celest phoenix
#

no I understand that. I apologize if I seem like I'm upset with you, I am not. I very much appreciate you taking the time to help.

#

I will see about reaching out to them

#

the message is different tho

scenic skiff
#

Yeah i doubt that is it. There's is a license file it saves to, I'm not sure where it is on mac. If you delete it, and restart the hub it will force it to download the license and refresh the token

#

That mayyyy solve it

#

Perhaps VPN? And if you had another license perhaps you can remove/revoke it and add the default license?

#

i wonder if there is still a problem if you want to use multiple unity accounts without logging out etc (windows users with different unity accounts)

I'm writing support now...

I have seen them before, think that someone belongs to the wrong company. Either a name match or the company name. But I think its a manual process the sales reps use (paid on commission) to try and strong arm folks to pro licenses. So you'd probably have got an email if that was the case.

#

My best guess, if wiping the file didn't fix it, is some automated system flagged you

#

their entire licensing things pretty frustrsting

celest phoenix
#

definitely not the way to retain a user that's for sure
