#On the topic of the oppressiveness of excess community rules

As much of a chore it is to have to say this: I post this in good faith.

I mean oppressive in the sense that one can be afraid to say anything at all because two missteps (third strike being the final action means** only two strikes** actually exist) and they will be banned...

I find it particularly irksome to see certain controversial political topics enshrined in the rules, and yet no political debate can occur? The fuck?

I honestly do not care what Unity as a company, if 99% of its user base, or if a giant gay meteor obliterates Unity HQ tomorrow, I am a Unity user too and I have every moral and god given right to speak my fucking mind. I don't give a *single *flying fuck if moderators don't like it or find the topic exhasperating. It is your **job **to maintain a community, and frankly I do not want to be part of a community that expels people because their views are viewed as unwelcome. I do my job **every **fucking day without complaint. Its not your job to censor others. Its not your job to shut down every fucking view you don't like. That is so un-american, anti-freedom, and if Unity is going to continue operating a HQ in the USA it ought to reflect American values, and it ought to respect its users and **our **right to speak our fucking mind.

I say this too because this is likely the reason nobody wants to have discussions on your platform any longer. Forums got axed, Unity Discussons is a joke, Discord ain't much better.

lol what an embarrassing take

The "doesn't understand the first amendment", thinly veiled bigotry, and first-post agitating, really looking to last long here

Is it the annual "first ammendment" dance already?

Damn, they left. Well, closing this so nobody has to endure seeing another unhinged rant.
