The goal is to create a competitive multiplayer team based game, similar to games like StarCraft and Age of Empires, but removing ALL the micro management from it. Turning it into a very strategic type of moba / auto battler.
Working with Unity 6 and Photon Quantum. I got my first playable version ready today, though it's not ready for any sort of testing just yet.
I'm not sure about a lot of stuff yet.
The game will be multiplayer PvP only. I'm fairly sure I don't want 1v1 because I want the game to be focused on community and teamwork. The most popular game all seem to use 5v5, but that seems a bit much, I'm leaning towards 2v2 at the moment, but am certainly looking for ways to make 5v5 work.
The multiplayer setup in Quantum is fully working. Players can place bases, farm resources and place a single building type that spawns units.
The units will move towards an Outpost, that is movable. In the Outpost players will be able to set settings like formation and actions. These will only be changeable every 30s, to prevent micro abuse.
I'm very open to ideas, feedback and anyone interested in helping me alpha test.
