I just finished my entry for Gamedev.js Jam 2025, themed "Balance" (https://itch.io/jam/gamedevjs-2025)!

Help your robot friend escape the lab by touching energy totems to clear obstacles and unlock doors.

Made by a two-person team: André and JonnZth, using the Unity engine.

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m still working on The Unbalance Lab to improve it and develop my skills as a game developer.

The latest update added a game timer that runs across all levels. You can now see your time live while playing, and at the end you’ll get your total time. This makes it possible to speedrun the game and challenge yourself to escape the lab as fast as possible.

I’m also working on improving the robot’s movement, which was a bit off during the Jam. It’s a challenging issue, but I hope to have it polished soon.

Your feedback is really appreciated — whether it’s on gameplay, mechanics, or ideas for future improvements!

Exit Door Update

The Exit Doors now disappear when the player has the required points, making it easier to see that you can move on to the next level.

There’s no animation yet — this is just a simple way to indicate that the path is open.

I still plan to improve these doors over time, one step at a time.

I added a small feature:

The default sound volume is now lower when the game starts, so it’s not too loud.

In the future, I’ll add a volume slider so you can adjust it yourself.
