#code works when executed in frames but not at normal speed

so basically i am creating procedural animations currently. it didnt always quite work and was janky. by accident i found out that when i play it frame by frame it works perfectly. could this be an optimization issue?

i may think this has also todo with the time.deltatime in some functions since performance wise this isnt really heavy on the cpu or the engine
