It's really hard to have a discussion over some topics when everything is top down. For instance, we have several discussions going on at the same time in Graphics "Shaders" and it's impossible to maintain or to get into. I fell like forums will help creating topics and interaction better.

While I see the point of creating forums for this, note that conversations can also be continued in a thread.
