Thanks for the feedback, that's really helpful!

Last active / online presence, searching or players, password reset etc all resonates and I think is something we will try to do over the next few weeks / months.

Exploring players with SQL queries - e.g. via Data Explorer in Analytics against player data Cloud Save is also something we want to look at later this year.

Feedback around the desire to customer the Player Management view is great to hear as that's also something we have been thinking about how we can best support and have plans for it! I think we've held back a little on improving the existing experience to make space for that, but I think where we are now we think we will also do some incremental quality of live improvements in the meantime, rather than waiting.

We have not had feedback around use cases for actually providing it's own platform as a service - we have Unity web based sign in that @odd iron pointed out which is managed by Unity but we don't provide a Player Management API for that for developers, it's more that it's an easier way for developers to implement web based sign in for Apple, Google and Email Sign In, but are looking at how we might evolve it.

I don't anticipate us going in that direction, but I've definitely made a note of that and we would consider that if we get stronger signals from developers on that!

The feedback on phone number and password was interesting. In addition/and or instead of email, one option we could provide would be code linking but via email.

I would imagine that supporting auth via code linking over SMS might be tricky for us to support as a native Unity service offering, given the challenges of doing that internationally (and managing the security challenges), but I think we could provide a way for developers to do that with something like Cloud Code and integration with a service like Twilio (or similar) with Code Linking today. That could be really interesting for us to explore.

Thanks again for the feedback, this is super helpful - both to validate and prioritize work and to raise use cases we might not have heard before (or to build them out or provide more context for them).

Happy to answer any questions you have, anytime!

when can we expect some of the features to be completed?

Our team had to build our own backend to resolve some of the limitations of UGS.
So it would be nice if the new features are completed soon, so that we don't have to maintain our own codebase to resolve limitations
