i don't know what mwu means, but the idea of #1180170818983051344 is already a self promotion channel, they wouldn't want more of them. Being a development server, it's probably a lot more encouraging for users to see the development process as it happens, rather than a whole bunch of advertisements and nothing to back it.
obviously you can still post full done projects, but that's not the main idea

I think part of game development is celebrating finished projects. And it's just an opinion it would be nicer to have somewhere to highlight released mwu games. Or mwu news. In discord where it can be browsed and reacted to.
Personally I am interested to see cool new unity releases. I don't want to see text based written content someone has not started making into a concept.
Maybe it's just a label that can be used to filter. I don't know.
I do want to see "advertisements" along with images and highlights developers want to share of cool mwu.
