This is my attempt at learning just how much of a struggle it is to create a multiplayer game using NGO. The goal is to create some intense gameplay taking much inspiration from games like DOOM, but "just add multiplayer" by making it co-op, sprinkle some PS1/2-style models, animations, textures and shaders, and maybe change the demon-slaying rhetoric on its head and fight heavenly figures instead.

So far the result of 1.5 month of my part-time work is: some amazing menus, an arena, somewhat stable handling of 1-4 epic capsule players via LAN with automatic server discovery, a capsule enemy, and 2 weapons.

For now the plan is simple - to expand the most basic gameplay loop imaginable, add variety, some resemblance of art, and try to not break everything, including my keyboard in the meantime.

If you have any questions or suggestions please share them here. Also, I really suck at doing anything in terms of design or art and mainly like to write code, so any help in those areas is appreciated.

First enemy model - crusader?? ver. 1 and 2. respectively. Turns out there were about a dozen of youtube videos specifically for creating models in this art-style and it's fairly simple, about to bone and animate the newer guy

Actually blender did not automatically save the texture I painted for almost an hour, forcing me to re-do it once again, but I think it just keeps getting better and has more character now
