Let me test something first
I can get another minute to look for you but i cant help u much longer. The real issue ur having is that dark green is hard to tint
will i just have to make the trees bluer in art program instead..?
like this?
When u have a white image u can do stuff like this
This is the original looking one
If you can get ur trees to look like this one. Then u tint it in unity, ur golden. However, ur better off just taking the quick fixx route since it will save u a hassle
no need to stress out about making perfect stuff
Just do it the quick way and be done with it ๐
like that?
Erm no u have to actually make ur trees white like the white tree i sent
in photoshop
but thats only if u plan to have a ton of different colored trees
If it's just this tree, then go ahead and make a bluer version of it in photoshop. Save urself the hassle
I just wanted to show you that typically if you're gonna have a lot of different colors for an asset, you make it white and change the color in engine. RimWorld does this with its art.
To be clear, when i say "make it white" i mean in photoshop you make ur tree greyscale
RimWorld?
Yea one sec
like that?
This is a head of a person in RimWorld. It's greyscale in photoshop
All of the art assets are greyscale
Notice how in this image they arent?
It's because in Unity u apply the color
not in photoshop
then u can reuse the asset with as many colors as u want without having to add more artwork assets
RimWorld is a game made in Unity. The creator uses this technique for pretty much every art asset
ok, also
However, in ur case i recommend just making blue trees in photoshop
Unless u want like 10 different colored trees
what do you think?
uhhhhhhhhhh, not that actually
The only issue ur gonna have is that the tree trunk is gonna have to still be brown
So just keep it brown and the rest can be greyscale
Then u put it in unity
and change the color
on the sprite renderer
U would get this result in Unity roughly
ok look, even if i change it to grayscale, but if i use the same color as the sky, the tree becomes blue, it should stay green
Im sorry but i offered all i know. I feel like theres a language barrier here and im not understanding your end goal. I recommend poking around with the idea of grayscale and tinting in Unity. I also recommend trying to maybe paint ur trees blueish in Photoshop. That's all i got. Good luck
i aslo asked many times that how can i tint it
Beautiful game
