Hi all! I'm working on a pixel art adventure game with an emphasis on top-down combat and story. The game is built using the Unity engine and I've been working on it for over a year now.

Hey! Here's the state of the game right now with what changes I've made since the start of July:

I added a new spell called Perfect Protection which gives you 30 seconds where if you die, you are brought back to life with 1hp.

Several existing spells have been polished. Particle effects, shaders, and better animation.

A new boss is now in the game! It's a giant ghost banshee spirit which will be able to summon little banshees and test your ability to maneuver under rapid bombardment and lethal attacks. I'd say its the hardest of the three bosses so far.

A new upgrade is now in the game which increases the rate of mana regeneration

Spell slots have been reduced from 4 active + 6 reserve to 4 active + 1 reserve. Individual spell slots have changed from being able to hold 4 normal spells and 2 greater spells to now only being able to hold 2 normal spells and 1 greater spell. The purpose of this is to reduce clutter, simplify casting, and create a greater variety of builds you can run.

You can now discard spells from your character in exchange for mana.

Some UI changes and a new items page. You'll now be able to buy valuable items from various merchants. Check out the post in ⁠pendant-discussion to get a sneak peek at some of the item ideas!
