#problem - unable to create projects

first image: I went to this link: https://unity.com/releases/editor/archive
Then it opened the modules downloads area.
Then I just clicked what I needed to download.
2nd Image: Now just waiting for downloads to be finished.
Do you really need all those modules?
Also, do you have enough space on your c drive AND whatever drive you are installing to?
It is staged on c
I'm using my external drive E:, it has 500 GB.
Ok, and your c drive?
You should likely not be intalling to an external drive, but it shouuuuuld be ok
Definitely very suboptimal though
I downloaded the Unity Hub to my external drive.
That does not matter
Why should I not install in my external drive?
What kind of connection does the drive have with your computer?
What connection?
I just started using unity again.
A drive has to be connected to your computer in order to use it.
My computer doesn't have that much storage, while my external has, that's why I use my external.
What cable and connection type enables that
Oh you mean cable, It's Type C cable. USB 3.0. Is that what you mean?
Yes, that not great compared to sata, which will definitely cause some annoying slowdowns
What is the issue you are having? I guess I jumped the gun
I just wanted to create a 3D project.
Idk if this is important info but here:
My Projects Folder: E:\Assets\Unity_Projects
Installs: E:\Softwares\Unity\Installs
Downloads: E:\Softwares\Unity\Downloads.
I said this because I kept getting this message in logs while creating a project:
"Error while creating a new project {\n errorCode: 'ERROR.LAUNCH_EDITOR.ENOENT',\n params: { i18n: { path: 'C:/Program Files/Unity 2021.3.12f1/Editor/Unity.exe' } },\n error: Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, access 'C:/Program Files/Unity 2021.3.12f1/Editor/Unity.exe'\n at Object.accessSync (node:fs:258:3)\n at t.accessSync (node:electron/js2c/asar_bundle:2:8282)\n at LaunchProcess.isPathValid (E:\\Softwares\\Unity\\Unity Hub\\resources\\app.asar\\build\\main\\services\\editorApp\\launchprocess.js:21:16)\n at LaunchProcess.start (E:\\Softwares\\Unity\\Unity Hub\\resources\\app.asar\\build\\main\\services\\editorApp\\launchprocess.js:30:47)\n at EditorApp.<anonymous> (E:\\Softwares\\Unity\\Unity Hub\\resources\\app.asar\\build\\main\\services\\editorApp\\editorapp.js:103:18)\n at Generator.next (<anonymous>)\n at fulfilled (E:\\Softwares\\Unity\\Unity Hub\\resources\\app.asar\\build\\main\\services\\editorApp\\editorapp.js:4:58)\n at process.processTicksAndRejections (node:internal/process/task_queues:96:5) {\n errno: -4058,\n syscall: 'access',\n code: 'ENOENT',\n path: 'C:/Program Files/Unity 2021.3.12f1/Editor/Unity.exe'\n }\n}"}
So the project is trying to open with Unity 2021.3.12f1 located i. C:/Program Files/
Did you have that version of the editor there at some point?
And in your hub, show which version you have selected
That was during 2021. Then I uninstalled it, because I didn't want to use Unity anymore.
For the Hub, let's see
Where do I select which version.
Yes. I understand. It seems to still be pointing to it
Show the hub where you are trying to open or create a project
It says Unity Hub 3.8.0
The hub version, nor that photo have anything to do with what I am asking for, sorry
Just show the hub itself, no windows open
So it shows you ONLY have Unity 2021 installed (which you don't actually seem to, due to the error). You may want to remove that from the list
You are in the process of installing 6. So just... wait I guess?
Looks like it is.
Those are what you COULD install, and don't really matter for these purposes
You could certainly install those though. 6 is in preview, so not really recommended
Is there a way to cancel the "Download queued", or the other downloads?
Well, there is the big X at the top, but I would be worried about that personally. I would just finish and get the other as well.
It's gonna take a while because of the external either way though
My Orico SSD has a READ (MB/s) of 456.70 with a WRITE (MB/s) of 463.08, got that reading from CrystalDiskMark
