Hello! I have been working for some time now on a new project/game I'm working on. Currently, I do not know if it will turn into a game or not. Anyway let me get into the features of the game. It's a single player, open world tree chopping game. It features retro pixely graphics at a resolution of 548x308, which is then scaled to 1920x1080 or 4K. It also features extremely nostalgic sounds and music, which tends to bring back memories from a lot of people. Currently, the game has a shop where you can buy items, a physics system to pick up objects, controller and keyboard support, tree chopping, and selling the wood from the tree. It also has a inventory system, where you can open up the boxes you have boughten at the store and equip the axe.
The game's tree cutting system uses Mesh Deformation, which I don't think has been used realtime in Unity to make a tree cutting system. So, it's pretty fun to chop trees dynamically where ever you want. Then you can pick up it, and go sell, if you can lift it of course. The game has weights that makes sure you cannot pickup a 500 pound tree, which makes you have to cut it into smaller pieces. The tree mesh cutting system alone was 550 lines of code. It took tons of trial and error, so many bugs, and lots of thinking and planning to get to this point. More will be added to the game later, such as more axes, trucks, biomes, more trees, and other things. If you have an axe you would like to submit, then that would be fine if I feel it is good enough. All assets are created by me, and the sounds come from FreeSound.org. Thanks for any feedback!
