#They're using a material I made that

Can you show a screenshot of the material settings and the particle system?

Do you have access to a different type of phone? It does sound like an odd problem that might be caused by a specific rendering issue that might only affect that type of device.

Are these the settings you were referring to?

I could try ask one of my friends to try it on their phone, but I don't own a spare one myself

Yes, those are the settings I was talking about. I'm not sure about this, but it might be caused by the fact that you are using HDR colors, which are probably used in combination with post processing settings? Usually phones don't handle post processing very well, especially bloom (which is the main use of HDR colors in VFX)

I would try a different shader that doesn't use HDR colors and see if the phone will display low dynamic range colors.

Ahh I see ok, I'm going to look at that when I wake up later today and I'll let you know how it goes, thank you!

How would I avoid using HDR colours?
It seems like Unity's Particle shader will always use HDR no matter what
And if I don't use the Particle shader, then I'm not able to add the texture file into the Maps?

Ah its a built in shader. There should be mobile ready shaders as well unless you youre using the built in pipeline?

Mobile projects usually use URP.
