DId not want to clutter the chat
THing that bothers me is, the unity model always looks fine in the preview window
Even on mobile I can't help but notice that big yellow triangle.
If you are getting that, it isn't quite a humanoid compatible animation you are importing
I'm just explaining what the message means
I appreciate that. But I have zero clue how to fix that though. All bones are green and looks fine
there are one or 2 bones that have these weird rings around. Not sure if that is something
Could be.
You are sure that tge correct bones are in those slots? The automatic process might fail when using a skeleton not designed for unity.
The dotted ring is optional bones
I know mixamo at least has a specific unity compatible rig you need to use.
both accurig and Mixamo I have exported using Unity preset
It's the animations that I bought I think causing the issue
and I would really like to learn how to fix it
Well, sometimes you just have to edit the animations. If the data is incorrect, it is incorrect.
Do the issues happen on other character models? For instance, the sample unity ones?
That suggests an issue with either the model or how you have that set up.
Are you using the correct avatar for the model?
I have hundreds of avatars. each animation has it's own
so I may be doing this part wrong
but I do have the avatar that came with the rig selected
And there are no issues with that avatar or the rig import?
I can check for you
Not that I can see
I have a bunch of animations working with this rig but a bunch of animations had to be edited to look better
Well, sometimes that is just what needs to be done. Retargeting only can adjust for so much automatically, and assumes that the source and target are rigged similarly aside from proportions.
Alright. Do you have some good tutorial or blog I can read to check everything ?
