News !
I've managed to implement :

  • basic multiplayer local networking with basic starter building, unit Sync, combat Logic and buildings Sync, player prefab with the aztec civilization

  • prodedural spawning of Map , script read a .txt and spawn trees and rocks, water and ground. Then the navmesh is baking in fct of that. Using a Map drawing to byte converter

  • adding upgrades for unit on buildings

-adding Map - building asymetric with obstacles and free spot to build

To be done :

  • fixing some basic Sync for network
  • publish a video to demonstrate the game so far

Maybe work a litlle bit on the colors, they are not 100% appealing

Also make sure to use color and good sillhouette to make each unit and building easily identifiable

Also don’t focus too hard on recreating Age of Empires, give the game your own touch

very unique look, good idea to keep the visuals raw while adding adding game logic. you don't want to hide bad gameplay with pretty graphics in this genre

🎉- Art shall evolve quicly as someone is working on it now

✍️- Add many UI interfaces addition + add some cool scripts everywhere (ex automatic water-coast orientation)

💣- Use now a flock system instead of navmesh. And using a unique and simple pathfinding system !

🦙- animals wandering Map IS done

emptyobj - lot of errors fixed in the prog due to the adding of flocks system

💂‍♀️- formations and mouvements are way better. Formations are stored and accessible in UI with shortcut.

To be done

  • formation rotation to be fixed
  • building progression phases
  • adding fleeing behaviors to units
  • adding animals to-be-killed to gather ressources
  • adding balistic projectils realism

  • 💣moral added to squad so they dismantle When the moral IS low

  • 🪰small animals as flies and birds added with differents behaviors to add realism
