This looks awesome. Also likely a great way to teach chess as well, as game play looks to focus heavily on only 1 or two pieces at a time.

On thing; the transitions between scenes are maybe a bit 'too harsh'

If i recall correctly in movies there's a convention that when you travel thru time you use fade-in/out but when it's just progress is just cuts.
