Thanks! the weapons is the only thing that isnt made by me, I suck at animating ๐ everything else is done by me, the blade/turret, vegetation etc

Whatโs gonna set your game apart from others? I see a lot of mechanics taken and put together and they are cool mechanics in of themselves but
Games that have been successful are either really refined or always introduce something new and I know itโs a work In progress but whatโs your plan with the game?
Iโm genuinely interested and not to diss the work so far but I just wanna grasp the vision

in all honestly, I downloaded unity over 10 years ago and I have never finished one single project.. so I just wanted to create something simple with a easy gameloop, so at the moment I have no intention to trying to release it, just trying to finish my first game ๐
I like nazi zombies a lot so I thought that a horde gameplay with some different mechanics like the blueprints and weapons upgrades would be a good twist and still keeping it simple so I finally can finish something for once ๐ฌ
haha damn I always forgets about that icon xD I do have the finished turret so I could easily replace it now, just been distracted by more important things ๐

big maps.
The player first spawns at a random location in the woods.
Day/night cycle
when you spawn it will first be daytime, during this time the player should scout their sourindings for blueprints etc (used to build traps). When night times arrives the zombies will spawn and it wont stop until all of them are died.
when the day arrives the player should spend their time to find a good spot were they can build up a defence system for the up coming night
each night will be longer and more difficult zombies
There will also be locked doors around the map like a bunker, unlocking these doors will allow the player to buy new and stronger weapons, these locations could also be good places to build up fortifications at
Is it multiplayer? Or co-op?
the main goal is to add co-op, it is a horde game so you are just suppose to survive for as long as possible until the zombies overrun you, however each level will have somekind of get away, so you can "escape" and and the games ends, but it would require the player to complete a lot of different tasks with you would have to find and figure out by yourself

It is basicly just a blockout with a concrete texture atm
I didnt realise that the game were really dark until I looked at it from my friends monitors..
so I turned the brightness up to make it more clear.

My last AI setup didnt support navmesh links so Im currently remaking the zombie AI, but it was defiently worth it.

i feel like the game over and the round font looks a bit too cartoony horror? yknow what i mean? i get how its supposed to be scary but i feel like just having a normal bold font emphasing you died or the next round started is just as unnerving
Yeah I get what you mean, personally I do like the idea of a blood font but I havent found the right one yet so I do agree that it needs to be replaced, but I would like to keep the blood concept, in hope that I can find one some what more "realistic"

hi @nova mauve maybe a suggestion since i have the same arm models. I have put a small light at the player, so that the arms and weapon is a little bit illuminated, because it was so dark in my scene.
nice: in your jump down, do you calculate jump time and then start at the correct time another animation or do you have fixed heights with fitting animations? just wondering, because i sort of calculate them and it is sort of OK. Yours seems very good!
The jump animation is all code, First Im checking if the player is !grounded, then I get the current player Y position and checks if its decreasing or increasing
Then I just simply change the weaponHolder rotation depending on what direction the player is falling
a second light would make it too bright, the arms are only dark because Im standing in the shadows ๐
