#What about other scripts? Do you have

What if you make a syntax error in your other scripts? Is it shown in Unity?
Haven't you told me that is has the same weird behavior?
yes
Do you mean, you cannot access the namespaces?
yeah visual studio seems to not be able to access it for some reason
Is it even chosen as your IDE?
in unity yes
Could you show me?
Are you using the version that is shown there?
yes
alr
You have VS 2019 [16.11.34301] selected. Don't you have VS 2019 [16.11.32]?
Isn't this concerning?
but i don't have other options tho 🤔
Do you even have the vs version that's selected?
yes? 👀 apart if i am dumb
Well, I think the issue is here.
You'll have to chose the Visual Studio you do have, I guess.
Click Brouse... and find your VS file
Yes.
So that's your current editor?
yes
Then this issue is harder than I thought
:' (
Have you tried with rider too?
who?
That should be fixed
Maybe it's gonna work with another IDE, yes
But it'd be better to fix it for vs
But if it works with rider, we can definetly say the problem is inside vs
i don t mind switching if it means i can finally work again
Sadly rider is paid, but it does have a 30 days trial
💀
But just checking if it works there or not, could give you pretty important clues as to where the issue is coming from
That's not the only IDE suitable for Unity though.
which ones are the best?
Visual Studio.
I know, but like i said, just narrowing it down to where the issue comes from can be a pretty decent step towards fixing it
💀
If it only appears on vs it basically means you only have to look at vs, not a unity issue
Maybe a complete vs reinstall
Along with dotnet and everything
um yea how and where?
Type Visual Studio Installer after pressing the windows key
So it's connected to Unity.
I guess it should be the top button
yes then?
Can you send screenshots of that?
Hm, thats strange
it is
no xD
Mind showing full window?
No need, that 2 things he has are the only important stuff for unity
I know. Just wanted to make sure bout Unity Hub
So a reinstall of vs and dotnet might actually do the job
Hold on
Let's try something
Open Unity and right click on the Assets folder. Select Reimport All
Make sure you have git connected
for your own safety
who knows what may happen with your current issues
but unity works fine tho
I'm not sure
i'll try another ide before doing that i think?
Like i said, try rider, just to figure out if its vs or not
If it works in rider, reinstall vs and dotnet
No, try to reinstall Visual Studio
Bro lol
xD
We dont know if its vs or not
If its not vs issue, theres no need to reinstall, and wait 30 minutes for that shit to finish, for no reason
(with my connexion i think you meant 4 houres)
but i have to go right now i'll try that when i come back
Awesome, i hope a christmas miracle happens, and we figure it out
yeah xD
You can also try Visual Studio Code.
Vsc is a piece of shit tho lmao
Rider is all around best ide for unity, so if its still throwing errors, then we know the issue is insanely serious and not just some mismanaged installation
And it also doesnt have a unity debugger, if im not mistaken
alr it works
(and i went on vsc xD)
(and i hate it but it works)
so what should i do now?
If it works on vsc, you should uninstall visual studio
And then reinstall it
Its probably some mismanaged files during installation
Lmk if it works
