#Learning Unity through Pathways!
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
@lunar coral I'm gonna start a thread so we don't flood the talk-channel!
I would really recommend one of the Pathways on Unity Learn, if you'd like to dive into learning game development with Unity!
Our Essentials Pathway (https://learn.unity.com/pathway/unity-essentials) is just that - if you haven't been in the Editor before I'd recommend starting there.
If you're past the Essentials, then would def start the Junior Programming Pathway (https://learn.unity.com/pathway/junior-programmer) ! You'll get into scripting your own games and building something!
In terms of asking about why things happen - the videos will go into some of why things are being built the way they are.
But it's also really common to ask people in the Discord, Forums, other places, etc.!
And doing a little extra supplemental research. 🙂
I'd say @lunar coral re: the "why" - it's really common to dive deep into the inner workings of the engine or more technical explanations.
But balancing that curiosity with thinking about what you're building + knowing you're working towards that is key!
I don't know all the inner workings of my car, for instance, but I think I'm a good driver. Haha.
Thank you! I will definetely read those, please if possible don't delete the thread since i'm in the train and i'm not able to use my computer now to save the links, well i don't know if you know which tutorial i mean but it was one from that academy
No problem! If you look in the sidebar, I think any Thread we interact with actually automatically shows up from the root channel!
Thanks buddy
