Recently upgraded to 1.2.0 to test something out and when reverting back to 1.0.16, my subscene wasn't showing. After checking the subscene gameobject, it showed that the script doesn't exist.

When I create a brand new subscene it seems to work but the script still doesn't exist, and reloading unity just breaks it again.

When I create an empty gameobject the subscene component doesn't show up on search.

I tried reinstalling the packages but it still doens't work. How do I go about fixing this? Last resort I can just make a new project and move everything over, but I'm pretty far into development and would take ages...

how did you reimport packages?

#

through package manager

#

or did you right click, reimport?

#

theres some serious issues with asset database atm in unity, huge pain

#

if worst comes to worst, you might just have to nuke library and reimport

#

its a pain

#

it doesn't help

#

it's the actual cache that busts

#

right click the package in project window and click reimport

#

this should still fix it on 2022

#

however this fix no longer works on 2023 and the only way i've found to fix it is a full delete of library

#

deleting packages, scripts, dlls, etc doesn't fix it
