Currently Working on the Combat System. I have working animations, tilemaps, etc. The issue I have now is just finding what combat works, but I think I'll be making Combat Mouse Dependant. This means the mouse will have control of the Weapon and you can attack in the direction you want with moving the mouse.

The real importance for this game is that the Quests make the Player feel like they are inside the game(Similar to Anime's with Adventurer Guilds).

Devlog | 1 Maps being Created/Combat being reworked?

Its been 6 days from the first post on here, and I'm here to tell you that I have not forgotten/gave up on the game. I am currently working vigorously on "Adventure Game" and won't be quitting any time soon. Now that that's out of the way lets talk about the Additions Added in the First Devlog.

The first two Main Important things to discuss, is the addition to a Town Map/Combat.

The Town Layout: Now the picture you see here of the map is definitely not the actual map I will be releasing the game with. It is simply a test map that I will be using for the time being, while I work more on the code and visuals. The Important things about the map layout is that I can now easily make towns/forests. That's all for the Town (Tell me what you think about the layout, and what I should keep/delete).

The Combat: The Combat currently is a bit strange. I don't know what it would be called, but it might be something like parrying but not it? Its weird. The picture below the Town Layout is of the Character with a Shield in front of him. The Shield is the Weapon for the Player. The abilities of the shield are these: You can press the "F" key and the shield will appear quickly, you can either hold it or just press it. Quickly pressing it will just make it appear and go away. Holding it will have it stay there, but you can't move. Now when you have it held the Skeletons deal less damage/deal damage to themselves.

Okay, so I'm a bit disappointed on the combat that I have created. I said that it would be a sword/bow game, but that doesn't seem to be possible with my current coding abilities. I am not saying that I can't make it happen, because I can. But it wouldn't be playable on Keyboard/Controller. Even though I can't do that right now, I do plan on doing something similar to it.
