Hi

light bough
#

You have selected the "Pipe" object. This is the root of the prefab.

If you want to move an individual pipe, select one of the individual pipes

light bough
#

Moving the "Pipe" object around will move everything that is attached to it.

#

This includes both of the pipe sprites.

#

Select "Top Pipe".

#

Move it around.

#

wait

#

like this

light bough
#

To make this easier, select "Pipe", then set its X, Y, and Z positions to zero in the inspector.

#

"Pipe" is currently not quite at [0,0,0]. This means it's not lined up with the grid in the background.

#

Moving it to [0,0,0] will make it easier to line the pipes up.

I don't know what you have selected here.

wild frigate
light bough
#

That is not "Pipe". That is "Top Pipe".

#

I said to select Pipe.

Move the individual pipes so they are positioned where you want them relative to this point

You keep switching back to the Rect Tool. You do not need to use the Rect Tool.

fair oracle
light bough
#

Stop switching to it.

#

The "Pipe" object is now right here. You need to move "Top Pipe" and "Bottom Pipe" so that the gap between them is right there.

#

They are parented to "Pipe", which is why have been following "Pipe" around.

wild frigate
#

i dont see the dot when im in the move tool

fair oracle
#

It's at the intersection of a grid line

light bough
#

You won't see the gizmo when you have another object selected.

#

And yes, that's why we moved "Pipe" to [0,0,0]

fair oracle
#

So it shouldn't be hard to position them relative to it

wild frigate
#

IT WORKED YALLL!!!!@#!#!!!!

#

OMG OH YA!

#

OH YA!!!!

light bough
#

now, try to internalize why this fixed it
