@final wedge Ok, hit me with some screenshots
thats it
you might have said you were on 2022, bad choice
My biggest problem is that I live in Iran, and we are under sanctions. To download files, I have to use a VPN, which slows down my internet speed. Due to ongoing protests and issues in the country, our internet speed has also been reduced even without using a VPN. So far, I have tried to download Unity three times with a speed of only 20 kilobytes per second, but in the middle of the download, I encountered an error and had to start the download from scratch
i change the unity 3 time
2021,2022,2023
2022 is almost the worst possible choice you could have made, only 2023 is worse
so i must download 2021?
Preferably 2020 if your project can run on it
i think it can
Humbly, I'm still a fan of 2019 for Quest 2 dev. But that might be because it's the last version I worked on while doing major work on Quest 2
!warn 972840162050596874 Stop pestering people. You're not obligated to receive help, I'd nobody is available, try again later.
tedzy. has been warned.
ahh Vertx muted him in the main thread but thank you
I still do a lot in 2017, 2018 and 2019
but in unity hub i didnt saw unity2020
Look in the Archive for the latest 2020 release
Do you know how to downgrade a project to an earlier version?
no,
open your project in 2022 then Assets->Export
then a new project in 2020 and Assets->Import
oh
shit
wait i need translator
I wrote my program in a different version of Unity, which was from 2022, and it's different from the current version. I haven't done anything special to open the project, so I think this error might be related to that
no
Could the issue be caused by this?
I think it is purely down to 2022 Android build being very buggy, 2020 should build ok
ok. Also the Android NDK. It needs r19(19.0.5232133)
you probably wont be able to find that but download r19c from here and we can hack it
https://github.com/android/ndk/wiki/Unsupported-Downloads
Ok, it's 2am here, I'm off to bed. Ping me in the morning when you have everything set up
oh ok
gn bro , ''here is 3am''
I'll be around from about 6am your time
ty bro
np, we'll get it sorted, don't worry
I hope it will be like this
good bye for now
no problem, 5 days, I could reprogram the whole world in 5 days
lol , cool
Hi
how are you
ok. did you manage to install 2020?
yes
good
did you try to build to Android?
did you not install the complete thing?
no i install it comletely
wait
then the sdk should be ok
Cancel
ok than?
screenshot the android preferences
OK good.
Now make a new 2020 project and try to build to Android
ok
Leave it, this can take a long time
ok
Ok, I think you need to bring up the task manager to see whats happening
its good idea
Everything seems normal
ok we wait, I wonder if it so slow because of your network connection
no i think its becuse of my laptop
is the progress bar moving on the build?
nope
odd
Do you know how to use the Event Viewer?
np actually
ok, look in Windows Logs->Application
in unity?
no in Event Viewer
Cannot be empty
look for Errors
there is no error its just an warning and information
i found 1 error but
its for 3 am
ok, then we wait, nothing seems to be wrong just slow
ok
how much free disk space do you have?
in drive c?
yes
1.25 tr
no memory, RAM
also ouch, now I know why it's so slow
lol
ok, just leave it, this could take a couple of hours, get back to me if it does something
ok ty bro
