#make your brush larger and paint on a

yes, there's a slider for brush size in the inspector
Your brush is very small, so it's painting a very small piece of the terrain.
That's going to look blockier.
That other brush is a hard brush.
It's going to look blocky because it's got a very sharp edge.
yes, and that's just going to happen. if you want more detail, increase the Control Texture Resolution
The default is 512x512
So imagine blowing up a 512-by-512 image onto that entire terrain
the things is at this size it's way too big for the project i'm working on and like i said it was working fine before so i don't know if i missclic on something or not :/
How can i see where my default setting is please ?*
If you don't have a screenshot of what "before" looked like, I can't really help you
These settings are in this menu
i will try to find that
you want to look at the "Texture Resolutions (On Terrain Data)" section of that menu
A high resolution will give you much smoother blending
it will also take longer to render and take up more memory
try increasing it to 2048x2048 and painting again
Alternatively, make the terrain smaller.
The default is huge: 1000 meters by 1000 meters
If you only need 50 by 50 meters for your game, change the terrain size.
That will give you 20 times as much detail in each direction.
since that 512x512 texture is stretched over a much smaller area
okay
That will be more expensive than a single large terrain (with the same resolution settings)
it'll certainly work
so theoretically it should still work with as well even if the terrain is bigger
Well thanks you for your answer : )
it help me a lot ^^
I want to create a map filled with multiple village and landscape, what would you recommand me for default setting ?
I'm not sure how easy it'd be to mix small and large terrains together
