#Shader Graph Transparency Issue

For some reason, in shader graph when I enabled transparency the object in front of it disappears....
Tank getting hit...

From above the beam looks like it went below the tank, and when looking from below, it looks like the beam missed the tank entirely

I am using Unity 2021.3.13f1 with Shader Graph 12.1.7 and Universal RP 12.1.7

Transparency is used when the tank is destroyed... it fades out instead of disappearing after a few seconds

Also tried playing around with Depth Test and Depth Write settings but that didn't help

Also happens with smoke... the framing shader is set to transparent... and its being drawn over everything else, wtf is going on
