Ok so layers and tags are different
If you go to your gameobject and look at the Layer dropdown menu, youll see another dropdown menu left from that called Tag
Uhh
You remember when u selected layer for your hand?
Yes u can put layer back to just ‘Hand’
And u can delete the Right and Left Hand layers.
U only need the Left and Right hand tags
When i hold the SMG i still fly
If that doesnt work then it probably has to do with the fact that you have no collider per hand or something
Ok i give up then
Alright
If you wanna continue this project i srsly highly recommend taking unity lessons
Or following lesson tutorials
Maybe start at the beginning
The new Oculus Interaction SDK is here and is making it easier than ever before to interact in VR. In this first part of this new tutorial series, I'll show you how to set it up and use it for grabbing object with both controller and hand tracking !

Vr is challenging
Ive watched all of his videos
I WONT
I promised myself
that i would learn VR first
because its the only thing
Well that promise is going to give you a hard time
Because no physicist starts their education with quantum either
Alright
But
I think im still gonna go the dumbass route
I like VR
Alot and i have a Quest 2
So
No offense
but
Im still gonna keep trying
Just know youll struggle a lot and probably give up after a few days due to lack of motivation after failing repeatedly, ultimately destroying your interest for game development as a whole
I highly recommend starting out with making something like pong or flappy bird just for the sake of learning how to code and navigate through Unity
Bcs starting off with a big VR project where you practically don’t understand any code that’s prewritten, isnt going to motivate you nor is it going to improve your unity/c# skills
