How to access the Entity of a Gameobject in Editor?

If I go the Entity Hierarchy of my unity window and select an entity that I created in code, I see all its components etc, everything as expected.
If I select an Entity that was created by authoring a Gameobject, I only see the gameobject. How do I get to the Entity view?
