For some reason I have a problem with the Post Processing Volumen. When trying to add an override, the float window dissapear

#

it only happen with that specific window, the add component window works fine

#

Have you had this problem?

quiet mountain
#

I assume this is on the Post Processing V2 package and not URP's Post Processing right?

uneven lion
#

URP's

quiet mountain
#

ah

#

Any UI issues I've had with Unity only happened while using Vulkan

uneven lion
#

Lol, im using Vulkan

quiet mountain
#

but if you're on OpenGL then i dont know

uneven lion
#

Let me try to switch it

quiet mountain
#

if not i've also had issues with separate UI elements appearing on my secondary monitor rather than the one that actually has Unity on it

uneven lion
#

Post Processing V2 package is the new thing?

quiet mountain
#

it's for the Built-in Renderer

#

I asked because I'm more familliar with Built-in

uneven lion
#

ohh, ok.

#

I also tried to disabled my second monitor

#

but the issue still happen

quiet mountain
#

even on OpenGL?

uneven lion
#

I change the renderer to OpenGLCore

#

trying now

#

now with OpenGLCore, the issue still happens

quiet mountain
#

Hold on lemme load up a URP project

uneven lion
#

and I see a weird triangle across the middle of the scene editor

quiet mountain
#

I've created a new URP project and the Add Override works fine for me

#

but half the time it appears in the top-left corner of the screen

uneven lion
#

to me, it flashes in and out

#

using Ubuntu 22.04

quiet mountain
#

like you see it for a second and then it disappears?

uneven lion
#

Unity 22.2.7f1

#

yup

quiet mountain
#

weird

#

I'm on 21.3.16f1

uneven lion
#

I tried to have only that window in the desktop to see if the floating window was behind, but same result

#

and only happens with that floating window

#

I dont know how to add overrides in another way

#

😦

quiet mountain
#

was it working before?

uneven lion
#

Yes

quiet mountain
#

could've broken due to a version change but I actually dont know

uneven lion
#

but I cannot tell when it broke

#

if I updated something in the OS or was something on Unity

#

let me try another version

quiet mountain
#

I dont think the OS is the issue, the override menu is part of Unity's UI and the rest of it works fine

uneven lion
#

if is a floating windows maybe is using something of the OS

#

like QT or something

quiet mountain
#

that's true for the PPV2 package

#

but URP's afaik uses Unity's own

uneven lion
#

20021.3.1f with the same issue

#

oh wait

#

I created a built in project and then I installed URP

#

the global volume are from URP right?

#

or do I have to do something else?

quiet mountain
#

Global Volume is from URP

uneven lion
#

right

#

Im kinda lost 😦

#

switching back to Godot 😛

#

I want to give a try Unity but its giving me a bad time on Linux

quiet mountain
#

I've had no issues with Unity on Linux personally besides Vulkan being pretty unstable

#

I genuienly dont know why that's happening, the override window is the same type of window as the add component window which you said worked

uneven lion
#

I will try to keep digging in

#

Thanks for your time

#

💪

quiet mountain
#

Good luck, sorry I wasnt able to find a fix lol
