Hello Lim, we're currently working on various capabilities for worldbuilding. We've launched a new Spline authoring framework in Unity 2022.2 Tech Stream, which will enable developers and technical artists to create tools for drawing geometry like rivers or roads with custom components.
On the topic of Environment workflows (including terrain management), we’re actively working on better artist controls, including overlays for terrain, scattering improvements and managing terrain detail density. Hi Isaac does this intail that DOTS terrain performance would be better than what we have now?
Regarding dense details lets say
We're not at a stage where we've done any performance testing, so I'll refrain from providing speculative answers! That being said, performance is a key consideration in the development of any tools within Unity. I'll share this feedback with our internal teams. 🙇♂️
