in the mezo part, my brachiosaurus has the icon for upgrades lighted but when i check, there nothing able to be upgrades

Looks to me like you've got trait cards for payout but aren't at the right level to have actually unlocked it. This can happen if you buy cards from the shop. You should be able to level it up next extinction.
In other words, not a bug, but weird that the shop lets you buy cards for things you haven't unlocked yet.

If you look at the traits in the screenshot, there's only one normal trait available. All dinosaurs have two normal traits, though not all unlock on the same level as the dinosaur. My assumption is that you somehow got a card for the second trait, but can't upgrade it yet because it's not unlocked. I mentioned the shop because that's the most common way that happens
