#New Beyond Generator doesn't advance while offline

I'm playing the new beyond update on IOS. Ive played sporadically all day and still have 10+ hours left on the Observable universe generator completing a cycle.

To test, I noted the time left, closed the app for 15 minutes and then reopened the app. I had only advanced ~20 seconds.

I then took the below screenshots. Screenshot 1 shows 10hr 17m 0s. I then fully closed the app and reopened it, and the second screenshot shows 10hr 17m 19s.

That means when I closed and reopened the app it added 19 seconds to the generator instead of time passing normally.

I am playing with the 4x speed ad boost as well. Any help solving this would be great!

Same here, I was getting confused why it has stayed at 10 hours for so long. I'm still getting offline earnings, so not all generators seem to be affected, just the observable universe

Got the bug also, even with the automate card unlocked, it doesn't proceed when not online.
(Lvl 77 in main game)

Currently completely stuck as the next planet requires 1e166 to unlock (2400x saturn)

the same here (of course) ! I have unlocked the generator 2-3 days ago but still not finished 1 round (by far!) Remains 1d 16hrs (over 1d20hrs). like in this initial post, it looks sometimes going backwards after relaoding the game.

The only reasonable explanation here is that this is a feature, not a bug!
It is very solvable:

  • open Beyond at your mobile
  • plug mobile to charger and leave it
  • if you think you need mobile for something else - you don't!
  • if you still think you need it... not so hard to buy another, is it?
  • ... and, by time, you can advance with Observable Universe payouts
  • ... with hope that some new generator can provide simpler strategy

I may be mean... but really can't understand that game has same type dynamic, consistent, and then we meet generator which does not work while idle. As I read about game - it mentions idle in it's description. ... looks like classic sabotage, unhappy developer seeds an easter egg prematurely...

Enough with wild guessing - I see that this thread is almost week old now and I can't spot response from dev team side - I would expect some - 'acknowledged, not really a bug..., working on it...'.

Looks like it's solved for me, as i pushed other steps into Beyond30 (at least the gains) but i really don't know why

Developer notes show that this was addressed in the v44.86 update however I’m on the v45.51 update and still experiencing this issue. Does this remain as a known bug? Or is my experience unique that Observable Universe appears to reset each time I open the app even after the latest updates?
