Can't tap to gain brewing tea cups?

Are you tapping on the teapot?

As far as I'm aware, that's the only way we can get tea cups

I'm only able to gain brewing tea from the idle amount/s, nano bots can collect it but all my tapping only generates tea leaves

Wait. I relaunched my game, it looks like you get teacups tapping outside the pot

Where can I click for Tea Cups in A Journey of Serenity?

The devs made the intentional decision to not allow you to click for Tea Cups on the tree, only Tea Leaves.
-# (Note that it says “Brewing Tea Cups”, not “Tap to make Tea Cups”)
If you really think you need to tap for Tea Cups, when you tap in the background of the garden (not on the teapot model) you have a 50% to make Tea Cups instead of Tea Leaves.
