#Game overheats CPU and crashes

I have an iOS 6s and the game way heats up my (I'm assuming) CPU any time I load it or try to switch simulations. It tends to crash a lot. I have it set to power saver mode, and nothing else is running while playing. Mesozoic valley isn't that bad (if I can get it to load in the first place), and The Beyond is hotter but still manageable. Exploration simulations are bad, and the main simulation often just won't load or crashes immediately after collecting offline earnings.

As a quick update, even the Mesozoic Valley is getting it too hot and slowing it down, though it hasn't crashed, just yet. It may have permanently damaged my CPU, getting it so hot.

Further update: tried turning phone off for awhile and restarting, then relaunching game. Same problem

Further update: It crashed without excessive heat while I was tapping thoughts on the main simulation.

Further update: It crashes in The Beyond when accessing the badges menu.

It looks like your GPU (SOC) is not stable when on heavy graphics load. Try to put it on energy save mode. This should limit FPS to reduce load on your GPU (SOC) and battery.

yes.

Already done, no affect.

It's actually not getting as hot now before crashing, either.

Is there a log generated anywhere you could think of which I could review to see why it does this, to see if it's the game or my phone?

Oh, thanks for letting that know. Was worth a try.
I guess either your device is unstable or there is a bug affecting older iOS versions. I have nothing with Apple so can't test. On Steam (Windows) and Android 13 (Sony) it runs fine here. But I'm just one user.

As it so happens, the crashes appear so randomly that I do think it's the phone, not the game. How can a device be unstable?

But would you say that maybe an iOS 6s is too old to play this game? It honestly works, sometimes, but switching between simulations seems to cost my phone a lot. It's as if (and I'm spitballing here from my computer science degree) it's not releasing the memory pages (or whatever phones have) from those other sims. I'm a little confused as to not being able to test, since browsers can have simulations of various phones built into the system. I know Android Studio can simulate various phones, maybe Xcode or VS Code can do the same for iOSs, too?

Er ... I don't know much about phones or Apple devices. Having said that:

Firstly, for me this update is noticeably slower to load up on my phone (a Motorola running android with 4GB RAM than before, and often pauses / lags for maybe 2-5 seconds).

Secondly, I think on GooglePlay it doesn't let you download/update an app if your device doesn't meet the minimum specs and operating system set by the Devs. Is that the same in the Apple store? If so, then your phone should be okay (but in reality maybe not).

Thirdly: the update in beta testing seems to have a long list of stuff that might help. I imagine the Devs want to get it out as quickly as possible.

Lastly, I would normally recommend you try cells on the browser-based version, but that looks a bit of a nightmare at the moment ... Maybe you think it's worth a shot?

And Apple certainly will restrict people's downloads by iOS version. Lots of things require version 12 or version 16, etc.

(also is extremely useful if you might lose your phone or whatever.

I haven't tested it myself, but I've seen people talk about transferring save files. Today in fact!
