Research level stuck at 48

After the new update I leveled up my research level a few times and now it's stuck at level 48. The research XP is continuing to grow, it just won't level up and give me a research chip.

You need to click the up arrow on the top left of your screen

it did it by itself earlier so I didn't know I had to do that 😭

I had the same issue. I pressed the big green 'Upgrade' button instead of the glowy blue up arrow.

When I did that it didn't work, only the blue arrow did it for me
