Try to restart your game. Be sure you have a working internet connection. It may not have appeared earlier for you because Amazon Web Services (The hosting provider where the Cell to Singularity servers are) had an outage.

Unfortunately the Reality Reboot version is not able to have the dodo event enabled as we are priotizing the new features on this version.

The irony is that you get a notification that the dodo hunt is beginning.

Alpha is finished. No updates or anything. You might want to move to beta.

(or go back to your original game file on normal if you have that option - but downgrading with a non-normal save doesn't work afaik)

The dodo event is not in the beta and will not appear in the beta. It will appear in the main game next yer so players who are now missing out because they are in the beta will get another chance. If you want the achievement, complete it in the main game or wait one year. Do not load your beta save game into the main game. It will get corrupted. So you will need a save game from before the beta.

There is only one way to play the dodos event (which is coming to an end soon), and that is by using the main version of the game (no, you cannot play it in the beta or the outdated alpha). If you are using the beta and try to transfer your game to the main version, your game may become corrupted.

I agree with you that it's unlucky that players who are on beta for a long time have to choose between loading an old save of the main game (And possibly lose months of progress in the beta) and waiting a whole year for next year's dodo event. Maybe you can drop Computer Lunch an e-mail asking if they can re-run the dodo event after the launch of Reality Reboot into the main game for players like you who missed it. I think that is all you can do.
