please do
i love languages
not actually learning them though
we didn't actually start with random nonsense though, we started with simpler communication, like physical and emotional needs, and "DANGER!", "food", ect., and from there moved to complete, non-isolated sentences.
in addition, there won't be a super language, and i don't want there to be one
that would lose so much intricacy and culture, and so much what makes language so interesting in the first place
im not sure how confidently we can say that simpler communication, like what many other animals (and non-animals?) use is definitively an origin, especially with all the missing info from there to our earliest constructed languages ~10,000 ya
I haven't even read anything online connecting animal communication with human language
but yeah
proto-languages, spread and movement of cultures as well as contact with other languages diversifying and splitting languages, language evolution via evolution of words, sounds, and syntactic structure, a brief digression on writing systems and the influence on language and our ability to reconstruct languages, historical developments of language (and writing? depending if it's both written and oral communication, or just oral. if writing definitely historical works of literature), sign languages and their development, interesting features of various languages, esp. classification of sounds and rare sounds, unique features like whistle languages, ect., the historiography of languages and the history of reconstructing language, with methods such as translating writing (like with the rosetta stone) and the comparative method, which reconstructed proto languages, as well as the limit on the comparative method, conlangs (need an entire generator for that one), both for unity of languages as was a motivator for some of the earliest i know like esperanto, conlangs for fiction to enrich the worlds, and the weird and wacky world of recreationally created conlangs. i could (and have) go on and on, but i think ill stop here
I totally concur with your viewpoints
