Progress Lost

I was playing in the explore outbreaks, then went to the main simulation and all my progress is lost. As such I cannot get back to the plague exploration. I've reviewed the FAQ on what to do if my progress is lost which says the following

"Click on the help section settings menu and scroll down to Save Restore. Click on that and you will see 5 recent saves with dates and total playtimes. Choose the most recent one with the greatest playtime. That should restore your game to the latest point possible."

But there is no option for save restore.

I have also tried quitting and relaunching the game, but there was no change.

Few things.

1. Pretty sure that's outdated.
2. Pretty sure you need to manually save now. You have to be logged in or something? Idk, should be simple, just make an account with an email and a password. It's actually in the settings menu.
3. Since you didn't save, I think you can't get it back. Really weird bug, this is all I can say

Thanks for the reply. Steam doesn't show any updates. What should the newest version be? Won't a manual update just save this broken state? As far as not saving, do you mean that using steam cloud saves counts as not saving?

Not sure, literally never used steam before…
I just gave everything I knew sorry :(

No problem. Thanks for the info. I realized though, by "pretty sure that's outdated" did you mean my software or the info in the FAQ?

the info in the FAQ, the saving thing was moved to the settings not the help menu i think
