I bought traits for Ichthyosaur from as "unknown traits" from the shop and the bright "upgrade availible" icon appears but it doesn't show the traits.

Have you unlocked the icthyosaur traits? It's possible for you to get cards from the shop for your current dinosaurs, even if you haven't actually unlocked the traits
