#Insects, plants, and greater variety of living things

I totally agree with these suggestions! I would love to have insects and other arthropods included in the game! (I really enjoyed the pollination event and I would love to see insects as part of the Primary Simulation.) Exoskeletons and jointed legs could be traits leading to an arthropod node. Crustaceans could be the first arthropods unlocked, maybe represented by crabs scuttling along the sea floor and appearing along shores on land after some kind of “land-dwelling” trait, attached to the arthropod node, is unlocked. After the land-dwelling trait, myriapods (centipedes + millipedes), arachnids, and insects could be unlocked, with myriapods and arachnids sprouting from the “arthropod” node but insects being directly linked to the crustacean node (because according to recent research, insects are/evolved from crustaceans). Insects could then have many trophy nodes representing different organisms or groups, kind of like how caniforms are handled; there could be beetles, butterflies and moths, wasps (with a “eusociality” trait or system required to unlock ants and bees), true flies (with mosquito and house fly trophies branching from them), and more. I just love insects and their relatives so I’m really excited about the idea of including them!
