I would like to share 2 screenshots on the current event.
Casually scrolling through my leaderboard friends list, I found two players with more than 1 Cryptids badge.. a lot more, like 4 and 5 each!
Mind you, I took these screenshots right after starting the second time the event was running (current event). Most of us ( if not all) would still have had just 1 badge by that time.
Screenshots for reference. Names blurred out. Anyone care to shed a light on this?

Ah that makes sense! Thanks for answering.
So that means Beta testers are also found and ranked in the main / open global leaderboard?
Why put them, and regular players, in the same global ranking? The leaderboards are kind of a mix between a competition and a status thingie.
Unless I become a beta tester, I will probably not get higher than a top 200 score. It's just not obtainable for a non-beta tester.
Somehow it's demotivating to climb any higher in the ranks now.
