The bug DID fix itself after he rebooted the game (9:40 in the video)

i also had this, it appears that ALL beyond garden unlocks get reset when completing an episode, including the ones that require a trait unlock/certain generator rank/astronomy mission to get (before i restarted the game i couldn't find any of them from any episode, after i did i could find all of them) and mars wasn't terraformed until i restarted the game
