#Chemical event

It's a good idea, but how to represent every elements in the 3d garden. Imagine if there is an animation for every elements unlocked.
Maybe you can have groups as generators, when you unlock a element group, there is an animation where every elements of the group spawn on the 3d periodic table.
Exemple, if you unlock...... (I try to remember my school classes 😅) noble gases, you unlock helium (I hope it's that) and...... all the others in the periodic table.
Yea I think we need that event because I remember nothing
Helium, Neon, Argon, Krypton, Radon iirc
Then Halogens are easier, Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine, Iodine, Astatine?
Yeah I had to send that before correcting with the periodic table
Missed Xenon, I knew there was one missing (between Krypton and Radon)
Also Oganesson, but I didn't think about that period though
Correct, after which is Tennessene
Could probably unlock by block, actually
Makes sense that way, orbitals are simpler to deal with like that
Idk how many people know about or remember orbitals lol, quantum chemistry moment
Hydrogen and Helium should be their own generators. Then the ancient elements known to humanity (C, P, S. Fe, Cu, Zn, As, Ag, Sn, Sb, Au, Hg, Pb, Bi) , then the ones known by 1785, then the ones known by 1850, (radioactivity generator here) then the ones known by 1925 (isotope generator) (when Re was discovered, the last naturally stable element to be discovered), (the ones discovered up to 2000 "transfermium wars", and the latest ones all as diamonds. Quark, Proton, Electron, Neutron, Hydrogen, Helium, Iron, Carbon, Oxygen, Noble Gases, Radioactivity, Plutonium, and Rutherfordium could be generators. The garden would be the periodic table, more of become unlocked as the generators and diamonds are collected. I suck at idea i know
this is a good idea, and there are many ways it could work
one way I thought of is:
gen 1: Hydrogen
gen 2: Helium
gen 3: Alkali Metals
gen 4: Alkali Earth Metals
gen 5: Transition Metals
gen 6: Metalloids
gen 7: Nonmetals
gen 8: Halogens
gen 9: Noble Gases
gen 10: Lanthanides
gen 11: Actinides
gen 12: Artificial Elements
I think whether something is metal or nonmetal would be more of a trait than a generator
It gives quite a bit to talk about for gen 6
(the p-block)
Hmm, Halogens and Noble Gases?
Also I feel like Lanthanides and Actinides would combine
-# please note that I'm critiquing this suggestion because I like it, if I really didn't like it I wouldn't bother
There isn't much-that I know of- to talk about for either of them, so combining would help with finding ideas for traits
I find no flaw in any category other than the ones I've name dropped
By which I mean gen 6/7, gen8/9 (but idk what to do with), 10/11
Which actually seems like a lot but gen 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5, and 12 are untouched
And two of the suggestions are just mergers and the other idk
great you don’t even touch the largest flaw in it 😁
Which, gen 12?
I think it's a good outro generator, gives room for speculation, which is great for outros
gen 5 alone is about half the periodic table
Ehh, that's fine, it could be a big section of the event
Halogens and Nonmetals should be lumped together as reactive nonmetals
Pnictogens, Chalcogens, and Halogens could be traits
(Disputed elements: Group 12 are Post Transition Metals, Polonium is a Post Transition metal, Boron, Silicon, Germanium, Arsenic, Antimony, Tellurium are all metalloids, Astatine and Selenium are reactive nonmetals)
I personally think lanthanides should be after post transitions (seems forgotten here) and halogens should be removed and replaced with reactive nonmetals instead (halogens is apart of the gen groups (pnictogens and chalcogens both are useless alchemy groups now, and the elements in those groups aren’t related physically. But halogens was kept as all of the “salt formers” were nonmetals and behaved the same physically, chemically, and atomically
I sense a wikipedia chemistry nerd
Specifically on the periodic table and little else
Am I right?
With the amount of planning we've already done, this better become an event
I release all potential legal claim I might have to any of the ideas I posit in this thread, btw, do not worry about copyright issues dev team please, for everyone else in this thread's sake
you jinxed it this won’t be an event
If I didn't say that, it (probably) wouldn't be an event, potentially due to copyright laws on our ideas for the event
I don't know for sure if that was a thing for other ideas, but it may have been
“Specifically on the periodic table and little else” you are not right you are wrong. I get my intelligence poked at and picked on enough at home and at school
I meant in terms of chemistry, not everything 💀
