Unfortunately I don’t know exactly how to reproduce this bug. Basically I was using Darwinium to speed up the Proteus astronomy mission, and I got it into a glitched state that allows me to indefinitely rank it up.

I still don’t know exactly how it gets into the glitched state, but I’m think maybe I click really fast and end up pressing some buttons twice?
What if I somehow get the timer into the negatives, but it just displays it at 0:00?

I have just discovered that this bug works on dark matter too
And completing these glitched missions does NOT count toward the “Complete Astronomy Mission” objective

Restarting the game does fix it
*status update: switching simulations is enough to fix it. No restart needed
