same thing just happened to me for a second time and im 99% sure i also didn't get the bonus science both times!

and it happened again starting challenge rank 4. 7164 at end of 3, and 7164 at start of 4. That's now 2500 science behind what I should have, and I'm less than that behind top 10.
It's going to be a struggle staying in top 25, when I know I should be in top 10.

Going into level 4, did the same thing. This time I let it sit for a few minutes and took a shower. Still had the spinning polyhedron. Tapped all over the screen and got the 1500 science for going to level 4 and it proceeded.
Seems to be a graphical/interface bug. Click all around and maybe it hits? Wish I had known this for levels 2 and 3 but it may be a solution until a fix is done.

This has been added to our bug tracking system as the issue CELL-3050. As we resolve that issue, updates will be posted back here.

We found the cause of the bug, we will release a hotfix release later this week. In the meantime when you level up make sure to only press the ACCEPT button ONCE.

A few hours later, now the updating leaderboard is SUPERCHARGED! Wow, from completely broken to seriously improved is quite the difference.

Hopefully they're able to fix this soon. I really like the challenge mode, but it's not worth playing with this bug.

Yes, still having this issue on steam. I've taken to clicking blind on a lot of the screen and gotten it to advance with the bonus, although without seeing the start.
