When I discovered the first two spiral arms in Beyond Ep 25, my UI goes away. I can still hit escape to bring up the game save option, and clicking still collects stardust. but I can't bring up the tech tree or the objectives menu.

does this issue persists after restarting the game or switching simulations?

I am able to continue after restarting, so I'm glad the save game works; I save to the cloud on exiting.

This also happens upon discovering the Halo around Omega Centauri. Restarting allowed me to continue.

I'm having the same issue, I had to close and restart the game several times, it keeps happening every new arm discovered

might be a different bug, but i triggered a soflock in the beta by discovering something while already in the space garden, discovering it while in the tree view doesn't trigger it
edit: tried getting this to happen by unlocking everything in space garden view but it didn't work

This happened to me after I completed the first research for Galactic Plane and Galactic Bar, restarted fixed the issue.

i know this bug can happen with the first unlock of the astronomy missions, and i think it can happen with upgrades that count as a discovery, when i triggered the bug in beta i was in the space garden when getting something (think it was a upgrade for the 1st or 2nd generator, one of the ones that counts as a discovery), and it didn't happen when in the tree view so i assumed it was that

When discovering new traits for Orion Spur and Perseus Arm, upgrading them directly in that popup will softlock you into the space garden. A restart will fix this, but is repeatable for every trait card I've encountered.
